Raped Girl’s Sister Speaks

Posted by Business in Ghana on September 14, 2009

AKOSUA MANSAH, the older sister of the 19-year-old seamstress apprentice who was robbed and raped in full glare of horror-struck spectators at Asafo in Kumasi last month has spoken for the first time about the ordeal. Mansah, who operates a drinking spot at Race Course, a popular Kumasi suburb told DAILY GUIDE in an exclusive interview that her sister’s health has deteriorated since her painful ordeal in the hands of the convict, Eric Adjei Bawuah, a 28-year-old gym instructor at Cantonments in Accra. She told DAILY GUIDE the traumatized girl is experiencing profuse vaginal bleeding as a result of the rape inflicted by the heavily built Bawuah adding “Now my sister can’t go out freely.”

  1. Nana Obiri said

If one wants to help where can we send the support to her?

  2. The innocent victim in such a case should be medically treated by the State. First the victime was taken to the hospital, and to the police. I fell the judge should mak provision for immediate medical treatment and total recovery of the victim. It is not the job of the family to beg for alms to pay for medicines etc.

  3. This sentence appears to be a life sentence and unlike the UK, I hope life means life in Ghana!!!!!!!
Ps: I would like to make a donatation to the victim.
